If so, we want to hear from you! We are looking for professional, community-minded Civil Enforcement Officers to join our parking services team.
The Role
Our Parking Services team provides a range of frontline services, and is directly responsible for the day-to-day operation, cleaning, maintenance, servicing and repair of pay and display machinery throughout the district.
As a Civil Enforcement Officer, You Will
- Work as part of a team patrolling car parks and highways in your designated areas to enforce parking regulations.
- Issue penalty charge notices (PCNs) using handheld computerised terminals, you may also be required to make written reports in support of notices issued.
- Assist and answer enquiries from the public in a helpful, sensitive, and tactful manner, and be observant and accurate when recording information.
- Spot and report local hazards like broken street furniture, faulty street lighting, defective signage or any other issues that may constitute a hazard to the public or adversely affect the proper operation of a permitted parking facility.
- Work independently as a lone worker on your designated patrol routes.
- Demonstrate flexibility and reliability to ensure excellent service delivery.

Shifts And Rewards
- 5 days over 7: various shift patterns between 05:00am to 00:15am.
- Earn an allowance for any weekend working of up to £30 per full day (approximately £2000 additional per annum).
What You Will Bring
We are looking for someone who is customer focused, resilient, and possesses great verbal and written communication skills to deal effectively with members of the public.
- The ability to operate a computer or computerised equipment is an advantage. However, we welcome all candidates as full training will be provided.
- A full manual driving license is required to complete all aspects of the role.
