About The Role

RGB Recruitment seeks a Civil Engineer for a permanent, full-time post in Royal Leamington Spa, paying £35,000 to £50,000 yearly. The successful candidate joins a growing civil and structural consultancy, working alongside architects, geotechnical specialists, and surveyors on schemes worth up to £30 million.

Duties include drainage design, highway alignment, ground modelling, and infrastructure planning using industry software, plus liaison with clients and planning authorities. Working closely with clients, architects, planning consultants, and local authorities, you will help drive projects from initial concept and planning stages through to construction and completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Civil Engineering Design

    • Assist in the development and delivery of civil engineering schemes from concept through to detailed design.
    • Design roads, drainage systems, earthworks, and associated infrastructure.
    • Produce practical, cost-effective solutions that meet client and project requirements.
  • Technical Delivery

    • Undertake detailed design calculations, assessments, and technical reports.
    • Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, legislation, and industry best practice.
    • Utilise industry-standard software to prepare models, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Project Support

    • Support the technical management of projects and coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
    • Contribute to the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget.

  • Quality & Compliance

    • Prepare clear, accurate, and professional engineering documentation, including drawings, reports, and specifications.
    • Maintain high standards of quality and compliance across all project outputs.
  • Client Engagement

    • Attend client meetings and provide technical input throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Build strong working relationships and help ensure client expectations are consistently exceeded.

About You

You will have the opportunity to work on various industry software including:

  • AutoCAD (including Vehicle Tracking) – for drafting and detailing
  • Civil 3D – for 3D ground and road modelling
  • MicroDrainage – for drainage design
  • PDS – for road design, drainage design, traffic sign design, and road marking design
