We’re working in partnership with a well-established and respected multi-disciplinary consultancy, as they continue to expand their Romsey office. Due to sustained growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in drainage design to play a key role in delivering interesting projects that contribute positively to communities and the environment.

The Role:

  • Lead the design and delivery of surface water and foul drainage schemes
  • Prepare Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and SAB applications
  • Undertake drainage strategies in line with current regulations and best practice (SuDS focus)
  • Support highway design where required, including S278, S38, and S104 agreements
  • Manage project workflows, providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders including local authorities and statutory bodies

  • 3+ years’ experience in civil engineering, with a strong emphasis on drainage design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage/Flow (or similar software)
  • Good understanding of SuDS principles and UK drainage standards
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ambition to progress professionally within a growing consultancy
