Are you a Civil Engineer with at least two years consultancy experience looking for more responsibility and clearer progression? This Civil Engineer opportunity in Wigan offers design ownership and structured development within an infrastructure team.
A growing civil and structural consultancy is delivering residential and commercial development projects from pre-planning through to construction. As a Civil Engineer, you will support highways and drainage design while building experience in technical approvals and client coordination.
The Civil Engineer will work within a collaborative team environment, managing technical outputs while receiving mentoring from senior staff. This Civil Engineer role offers exposure to S104, S38 and S278 processes alongside structured support toward Chartership.

Key responsibilities
- Prepare civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD
- Support highways and drainage design for developments
- Produce calculations in line with UK standards
- Assist with S104, S38 and S278 submissions
- Liaise with local authorities and statutory undertakers
Candidate requirements
- Minimum two years UK consultancy experience
- Experience supporting roads and drainage design
- Proficient in AutoCAD with exposure to MicroDrainage or PDS
- Understanding of SuDS and CDM Regulations
- Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering
