At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery, and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good.

Your impact

Ireland’s water sector is entering an exciting phase of transformation, with significant investment and innovation driving improvements in water and wastewater infrastructure nationwide. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping sustainable solutions that will serve communities for generations to come.

We’re proud to be at the forefront of this change, partnering with Irish Water and other key stakeholders to deliver projects that make a real impact. From feasibility and planning to design, construction, and operations, we bring together exceptional talent and expertise to deliver success.

We are looking for Civil Engineers at all levels from early-career professionals to experienced leaders to join our teams across Ireland. Whether you’re starting out or ready to take on a senior role, you’ll help deliver detailed design and Design & Build projects in the water and wastewater sector.

For senior roles, you’ll lead projects from concept through completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes and compliance with regulatory and safety standards. For those earlier in their career, you’ll have the chance to develop your skills on major frameworks and work alongside industry experts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support or lead multidisciplinary civil engineering projects from concept to completion.
  • Deliver innovative and sustainable design solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Ensure technical delivery meets Irish regulatory and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Contribute to mentoring and team development (for senior roles).
  • Demonstrate exemplary health, safety, and wellbeing practices in line with our BeyondZero approach.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with our water sector clients.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
