Civil Engineer (BESS / Renewable Energy)

Noriker Power is a leading renewable energy integrator and developer specialising in Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects that support the UK and Ireland’s power grid. Over the past ten years, we’ve developed and built more than 350MW of battery and hybrid facilities with an extensive pipeline of projects. With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and long-term impact, we have become a key player in the energy transition driving the development of grid-scale projects that shape the future of a renewable and sustainable grid.

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a background in large scale infrastructure development and delivery to provide civil expertise and leadership on grid scale BESS projects. You will provide a focal point of specialist technical expertise in the development of critical infrastructure, bringing a passion for sustainable development to compliment your work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake civil design review and civil feasibility assessments, commenting on proposals, designs and construction delivery with regards to the civil specialism.
  • Be involved from an early design stage of BESS project development through to project commissioning and operations.
  • Working closely with Project Managers, provide civil technical expertise to ensure the effective and collaborative completion of project milestones.
  • Work closely with other technical experts to provide a comprehensive team overview of technical components to projects throughout their life cycle.
  • Work closely with subcontractors and technical staff on power engineering projects and anticipate risks and costs related to the technical aspects of the project, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget and within project specifications whilst finding maximum value with innovative technical solutions.
  • Oversee large scale civil design and construction processes and ensure they are conducted to best industry practises.
  • Take a proactive role within technical projects on both the project development and product development.

Requirements:

  • Degree educated in a civil engineering focused subject.
  • Civil Engineering experience in large scale infrastructure projects is essential.
  • Experience in major groundworks projects and new construction sites.
  • Strong report writing skills and IT literacy.
  • Passion for Renewable Energy and the energy market.
  • Good communication and organisation skills.
