Civil Engineer: Infrastructure and Drainage
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: Up to GBP45,000 per annum
A well-established engineering consultancy in Oxfordshire is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer with 3+ years experience to join its growing infrastructure and drainage team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to take the next step in their career, working on a varied portfolio of residential and commercial developments. You will be involved in the design and delivery of infrastructure and drainage schemes, working alongside experienced engineers and other technical professionals.
The Role
As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and delivering civil engineering designs across a range of residential and commercial projects.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Designing infrastructure and drainage solutions for development projects
- Producing surface water and foul drainage designs
- Preparing technical drawings, specifications, and design information
- Developing highway and infrastructure layouts
- Undertaking drainage calculations and supporting technical assessments
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants
- Working as part of multidisciplinary project teams
- Supporting junior engineers and graduates where appropriate
- Taking projects from initial concept through to detailed design

About You
We are looking for a Civil Engineer with at least 3 years relevant consultancy experience and a strong interest in infrastructure and drainage design.
You Should Have
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 3+ years experience within a civil engineering consultancy
- Good experience in infrastructure and drainage design
- A solid understanding of residential and commercial development projects
- Strong knowledge of surface water and foul drainage principles
- Experience with InfoDrainage or MicroDrainage would be highly advantageous
- Experience using Civil 3D would be beneficial
- Good communication and technical problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage your own workload and contribute effectively to project delivery
