Position: Civil Engineer
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50 - $100/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Design and author authentic civil engineering evaluation tasks reflecting real-world complexity.
- Source, generate, and curate technical documents including engineering drawings and reports.
- Develop challenging technical problems requiring nuanced constraint reasoning and code compliance.
- Determine accurate engineering solutions ensuring regulatory and geometric constraints are satisfied.
- Craft comprehensive rubrics for LLM-based assessment, grading solutions for technical correctness.
- Create and validate high-volume, realistic data files representative of typical project documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine task clarity, realism, and evaluative standards.

Requirements
- Have strong relevant experience contributing to civil engineering projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or active pursuit of licensure strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated mastery in preparing and managing technical documentation.
- Experience sourcing and interpreting regulatory codes and integrating them into solutions.
- Proficiency in generating or reviewing complex technical artifacts for project evaluation.
- Ability to reason about intricate constraints and deliver real-world engineering solutions.
- Strong written communication skills for authoring clear, comprehensive evaluation materials.
