About Geointec

Geointec is an international engineering consultancy specializing in geotechnical, hydrological, hydraulic and topographical studies for renewable energy projects worldwide. With operations across Europe, the Americas, Africa and Asia-Pacific, we support the development of utility-scale solar PV, wind farms, BESS facilities, substations and other critical infrastructure projects.

The Role

You will be involved in the technical delivery of renewable energy projects from early-stage feasibility through detailed design support and construction phases. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation and review of technical engineering reports.
  • Development of civil engineering solutions for renewable energy projects.
  • Analysis of geotechnical, hydrological and hydraulic data.
  • Interpretation of site investigation results and ground conditions.
  • Assessment of foundation solutions for solar, wind and energy infrastructure.
  • Support the design and optimization of drainage systems.
  • Coordination with surveyors, geologists and external consultants.
  • Liaison with international clients and project stakeholders.
  • Support project planning, budgeting and technical decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable international standards and best practices.

Requirements

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in civil engineering projects.
  • Strong technical report writing skills.
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
  • Experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work in an international environment.

Desirable

  • Experience in renewable energy projects (Solar PV, Wind or BESS).
  • Knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles.
  • Experience in hydrology and hydraulic modelling.
  • Familiarity with GIS software.
  • Knowledge of HEC-RAS, Civil 3D or similar engineering software.
  • Experience working on international projects.

As part of our plans to further develop our UK organisation, our objective is to establish the same multidisciplinary departmental structure already established at our headquarters in Spain. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progressively take on greater technical and team management responsibilities, with the potential to progress into an Engineering Manager / Head of Engineering role, subject to individual performance and professional development.

Working Model

The position will initially be remote-based within the UK. As Geointec continues to develop its UK operations, the company may establish a permanent office in the future. At that stage, the working model may evolve towards a hybrid arrangement, combining remote working with regular office-based work. Any future transition to a hybrid working model will be communicated in advance and aligned with the location and operational requirements of the UK team.

The role will be fully supported by GEOINTEC's established multidisciplinary teams and technical expertise at our headquarters in Spain, working closely with experienced specialists across the different engineering disciplines.
