Arcadis

Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

We are more than 34,000 people, in over 30 countries, dedicated to improving quality of life. Everyone has an important role to play. With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.

Role description:

We currently have openings within our UK Civil and Structural Engineering team, with levels from Assistant Engineer through to Technical Director, covering some of the most high-profile rail projects currently active in the UK.

These roles offer the opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of rail infrastructure projects, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, and sustainable engineering solutions. You will support the development and delivery of technical designs across the full project lifecycle while collaborating with colleagues and clients to meet project outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

Major rail programmes don't stop when one project reaches a milestone.

At Arcadis, we're supporting some of the UK's most significant rail investments, including HS2, Washwood Heath Depot, Transpennine Route Upgrade (TRU), Navan and other nationally important infrastructure programmes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
