About The Role
RGB seeks a Civil Engineering Technician in Exeter on a permanent basis, paying £25,000 to £35,000 annually. The successful candidate joins an engineering consultancy’s busy design group, supported by a second regional office and working alongside engineers, apprentices, and fellow technicians. Duties cover drainage strategy, highway and infrastructure design, water engineering, structural work, and transport planning. Applicants may be experienced or entirely new to the discipline, since training is offered. Key skills include CAD proficiency, technical drawing, attention to detail, and collaboration. Projects span housing, highways, and local authority schemes, giving the postholder varied exposure across civil works.

About the Company
They are a large engineering company with a consultancy team across all things engineering and project management, who work on:
- Drainage design and strategy
- Highway and infrastructure design
- Water Engineering
- Structural Engineering
- Transport Planning
You would be joining a busy team (supported by another regional office), of experienced Engineers, Apprentices, and Technicians working on design projects.
Projects
They are working on a wide range of housing, highways, and local authority projects – including a large housing estate in Cornwall and the surrounding infrastructure.

Full training programme, including Civil3D and AutoCAD – with strong progression routes throughout the company.
Requirements
- Level 3, HNC, or equivalent
- Based commutable to Redruth
- Desire to learn and progress

- Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 – depending on experience
