Senior Civil Fraud / Commercial Litigation Solicitor | London

The Firm

We are instructed by a specialist and highly regarded legal practice to appoint a senior Civil Fraud / Commercial Litigation Solicitor to play a leading role in the development of a growing disputes practice.

The firm acts for a sophisticated client base including high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners, financial institutions, trustees, investment structures and international businesses, often in matters where confidentiality, discretion and strategic advice are paramount.

The practice has an established reputation for handling complex and technically challenging matters and is now looking to build out its commercial disputes offering, with a particular focus on civil fraud, asset recovery and emerging digital-asset disputes.

This is an opportunity to join a lean, entrepreneurial environment where senior lawyers have significant autonomy and genuine scope to shape the direction of a growing practice.

The Culture

The environment is collaborative, entrepreneurial and relatively lean, giving senior lawyers direct access to experienced practitioners and the opportunity to take ownership of matters from an early stage. The successful candidate will have considerable autonomy, while working alongside a broader team of lawyers, advisers and external specialists. There is also a strong emphasis on developing people, sharing knowledge and creating a supportive environment in which junior lawyers can progress.

The Team

The growing disputes team handles a broad range of complex commercial matters, with particular expertise in:

  • Civil fraud and asset-tracing disputes
  • Cryptocurrency and digital-asset disputes
  • Cross-border asset recovery and enforcement
  • Injunctions and urgent interim relief
  • Norwich Pharmacal orders
  • Shareholder and wider commercial disputes
  • Multi-jurisdictional litigation and enforcement

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

There is a particularly strong opportunity to develop a specialist practice around fraud, asset recovery and digital assets, working in an area of law which continues to evolve rapidly.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior practitioners, junior lawyers and paralegals, as well as external counsel, overseas lawyers, regulators, financial institutions and other professional advisers.

The Role

You will have a significant degree of autonomy and will be expected to take the lead on matters while also helping to shape the development of the wider practice.

A key part of the opportunity will be helping to build the team around you. You will have responsibility for supervising and mentoring junior solicitors and paralegals, delegating work, providing feedback and contributing to their professional development.

The firm is looking for someone who naturally enjoys developing others and who can act as a trusted senior point of reference for more junior members of the team.
