Civil Pipeline Engineer (Water & Infrastructure)
Location: Epsom, London, Peterborough, or Cambridge (Hybrid)
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days/week office/site)

Are you an experienced Civil Pipeline Engineer with strong technical leadership skills? Looking for a long-term contract role delivering major, nationally significant water and infrastructure programmes across the UK?
We are currently recruiting a Chartered or Incorporated Civil Pipeline Engineer to provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and concept through to detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
Key Highlights & Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead and manage teams of pipeline engineers delivering complex multidisciplinary design packages.
- Full-Lifecycle Engineering: Deliver pipeline solutions covering new builds, rehabilitation, condition assessment, and commissioning.
- Core Deliverables: Produce and review high-standard design reports, engineering calculations, technical drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Stakeholder & Project Management: Work closely with PMs, contractors, and clients to ensure delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards.
- Mentorship & Quality: Drive design reviews, technical assurance, and mentor junior engineering talent.

What We’re Looking For:
Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) + CEng or IEng status.
- Experience: Proven track record in pipeline engineering design within a consultancy or multidisciplinary setup.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of pipeline design, construction methodologies, rehabilitation/renewal techniques, and condition assessments.
- Standards & Safety: Thorough understanding of UK/international pipeline codes, standards, and CDM Regulations.
- Software: Proficiency in pipeline analysis/design tools (e.g., HADES, Varism, or equivalent).

- UK Water Sector experience on large-scale utility/infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in trenchless installation & rehabilitation techniques.
- Experience supporting technical bid & tender submissions.
