Project Civil Engineer – Central London

I’m currently working with a growing and forward-thinking civil engineering consultancy in Central London that is looking to appoint a confident Project Civil Engineer to join its expanding team. This is a great opportunity for a Civil Engineer with around 4–5 years’ experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and get genuine responsibility for projects from day one.

The Role

The business is looking for a project-focused Civil Engineer who can take ownership of projects, work directly with clients and play a key role in delivering schemes from inception through to completion.

  • You’ll be joining a team of around 18 people and will work across a varied project portfolio, including:
  • Land development
  • Building projects
  • Data centres
  • Commercial developments
  • Large-scale developments valued between approximately £20m–£150m

The variety of work means you won’t be pigeonholed into one particular sector, with plenty of opportunity to get involved with different projects and take responsibility from the outset.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The consultancy is continuing to grow, and this is a key hire for the business. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with senior members of the team while having the autonomy to make the role your own.

There is also a clear opportunity for progression. One of the current Technical Directors joined the business at Senior Engineer level and has progressed through the company, which gives a good indication of the opportunities available to ambitious engineers.

The office is based in a fantastic Central London location, around a minute’s walk from Warren Street and approximately five minutes from Euston, with a modern office environment and excellent facilities.

Salary is open and will be dependent on experience.

If you’re a Civil Engineer looking for more responsibility, greater project ownership and a clear route for progression, I’d be keen to have a confidential conversation.
