Civil Revit Technician
Morgan Hunt are working with a consultancy in Edinburgh to recruit a Civil Revit Technician to join their team. You will be supporting the delivery of projects across different sectors including infrastructure, residential, commercial, energy, and water. You will play a key role in developing high-quality 3D models and coordinated design information, helping to deliver efficient, buildable, and digitally integrated engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed 3D civil engineering models using Revit, in line with project and BIM standards
- Produce 2D drawings, plans, sections, and details from coordinated models
- Support the design and coordination of civil works, including drainage, highways, earthworks, utilities, and external works
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other disciplines to ensure integrated and clash-free designs
- Maintain and manage BIM data, including model coordination, federated models, and information exchange
- Ensure all deliverables comply with UK standards, project specifications, and industry best practice
- Assist in the development and maintenance of BIM standards, templates, and workflows
- Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings
- Support project documentation, drawing registers, and revisions control

Requirements
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience using Revit in a civil/infrastructure or multidisciplinary environment
- Experience working with AutoCAD and/or Civil3D, and ideally Navisworks experience
- Good understanding of civil engineering principles, particularly drainage, external works, and infrastructure design
- Familiarity with BIM processes and standards
- Experience producing coordinated models and drawings within a consultancy environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Good communication and teamwork skills
