Groundworker / Civil Operative
Location: Bedfordshire
Start Date: Immediate Start Available

Immediate Opportunities for Experienced Groundworkers
We are urgently seeking Groundworkers / Civil Operatives to join an established civils team supporting infrastructure and maintenance works on a major industrial project in Bedfordshire.
This role would suit individuals with experience in groundworks, civil engineering maintenance, repairs, drainage works, and general site operations. We are looking for practical, hands-on operatives who can contribute immediately and work safely within a busy site environment.
Key Duties
- General groundworks and civil engineering activities
- Infrastructure repairs and maintenance
- Manhole and drainage repair works, including sealing and reinstatement activities
- Concrete and reinstatement works
- Excavation support and finishing works
- General handyman and maintenance tasks
- Assisting supervisors and site teams to deliver works safely and efficiently
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards

Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Valid CSCS Card
- 2+ years' experience in groundworks, civil engineering or infrastructure maintenance
- Practical experience of drainage, chamber and manhole repair works
- Experience undertaking reinstatement and repair activities
- Ability to work from site instructions and complete work with minimal supervision
- Good understanding of construction health and safety requirements
- Reliable, flexible and able to work effectively within a small site team

Desirable
- Experience working on industrial, energy, utilities or infrastructure sites
- First Aid qualification
- CPCS or NPORS plant tickets
- Street Works (NRSWA) accreditation
