Your Role As Our Civil & Structural Technician
In your new role you will be required to produce accurate technical engineering drawings in accordance with the appropriate specifications on a variety of industrial and domestic projects. You will have the opportunity to work alongside our engineers and technicians and architects on a wide range of structural and civil engineering projects in sectors such as; maritime, heavy industrial, commercial, food processing and healthcare.
You will be part of an Engineering Team based in Thurso and embedded within the wider Maritime Arch Henderson Advisory Group across five UK offices. The team works closely with colleagues across Haskoning’s international network of over 6,000 professionals in more than 30 countries.
You Will Develop Strong Relationships With Existing And Future Clients; Part Of This Will Include Undertaking Project Tasks And Delivering Results. You Will Have The Autonomy To Work In Your Own Style To Achieve The Below:
- Coordinate with our engineering design teams
- Prepare detailed technical drawings
- Coordinate quality and adhere to internal quality management systems
- Demonstrating behavior that ensures your health and safety and that of others.
What You Will Bring
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and have a working knowledge of 3D software such as Revit Structure
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working within an Engineering Consultancy environment
- Educated to a minimum of HNC level in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Experience in detailing structural steelwork
- Experience in detailing reinforcement and producing bar bending schedules is highly desirable, but not essential
- Already achieved or working towards IEng would be beneficial

Location:
You will be based on the north coast of Scotland in our Thurso Office. Hybrid working may be possible, however there is a desire for a minimum of 4 days working in the office.
