Civil Quality Inspector / Engineer (Contract)

Overview

The Civil Quality Inspector / Engineer will ensure inspection and quality activities are completed in line with approved quality plans, specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and relevant industry standards. The role involves monitoring construction quality, reviewing documentation, and supporting compliance throughout project delivery.

12 Month Contract

Outside IR35 Location - Teesside

Key Responsibilities

  • Review material test certificates and quality documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with ITPs and project specifications.
  • Ensure material traceability and preservation requirements are maintained.
  • Witness inspections, tests, and hold points as required.
  • Review manufacturing data books and inspection records.
  • Support supplier quality performance reviews.
  • Ensure works are completed in accordance with quality standards and procedures.

Requirements

Essential

  • HNC in a Technical or Quality discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in quality inspection within oil & gas, petrochemical, infrastructure, or similar sectors.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management processes.
  • Experience reviewing manufacturing data books and inspection records.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
