Start Date: 1 October 2026
CCL Global is supporting a major international energy contractor delivering a large-scale industrial redevelopment project in North Wales. The project involves the redevelopment of an existing energy facility and the construction of new infrastructure to support CO₂ compression and storage.
Role Overview
The Civil Work Engineer will support the Civil & Structural Lead across the engineering and construction activities, ensuring civil works are delivered in line with project requirements for quality, budget, and schedule.

The role will focus on civil works, buildings, foundations, concrete structures, and drainage, alongside engineering documentation, BIM coordination, and site support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop civil engineering solutions for foundations, concrete structures, and buildings.
- Develop drainage, sewage, and plumbing layouts within buildings.
- Prepare detailed BOQs for civil works and buildings and MTOs for steel structures.
- Review and check engineering and vendor documentation.
- Review and approve civil engineering and construction drawings.
- Verify structural BIM models and support BIM coordination.
- Prepare technical documentation for engineering activities and subcontracting.
- Coordinate with project specialists, designers, vendors, and construction teams.
- Provide field engineering support on site.
- Carry out discipline follow-up and technical checks throughout the project.

Candidate Requirements
- BSc in Civil Engineering.
- Proven experience as a Civil Engineer / Civil Work Engineer on Oil & Gas, Energy, or major industrial projects.
- Strong experience with buildings, drainage/sewage systems, foundations, and concrete structures.
- Experience reviewing engineering and vendor documentation.
- Experience supporting construction/site activities.
- Knowledge of Eurocodes.
- BIM coordination experience.
- Proficiency with Office 365 / Excel and ideally Navisworks, SP3D, Mat 3D, and Foundation 3D.
