Civils and Asphalt Project Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established civil engineering and asphalt contractor for an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team based in Scunthorpe.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor delivering highways, asphalt and civil engineering projects across Yorkshire/Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects from contract award through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple civils and asphalt projects simultaneously.
  • Plan, programme and coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, commercial teams and site management.
  • Monitor project progress and produce regular progress reports.
  • Manage project finances, variations and cost control alongside the commercial team.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Conduct site visits, progress meetings and client meetings.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing civil engineering and asphalt projects.
  • Strong knowledge of highways, road construction, asphalt paving, carriageway maintenance and infrastructure works.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience managing multiple live projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • SMSTS and CSCS required.
  • First Aid qualification would be advantageous.
