Overview
Finlay Jude Associates Ltd are recruiting for an experienced Civils Contracts Manager to oversee multiple civil engineering and groundworks projects from pre‑construction through to completion. You’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage civils and groundworks teams, including labour and plant allocation
- Oversee projects from pre‑construction to end of Defects Liability Period
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and ISO 45001
- Monitor programme, quality, progress and financial performance
- Attend client meetings and produce progress reports
- Work with commercial teams on budgets, variations and forecasting
- Drive consistent delivery standards and continuous improvement
- Manage defects, handovers and close‑out processes
- Oversee S38, S278 and S104 works through to final sign‑off
- Review design information to improve efficiency and reduce cost
- Liaise with engineering teams to ensure effective site coverage

Skills & Experience Required
- NVQ Level 3 in Supervisory Management (or equivalent), HNC or Degree
- CSCS Gold (or above), SMSTS and First Aid
- Strong IT skills for producing reports and programmes
- Proven experience delivering civil engineering and groundworks projects
- Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple sites
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness including budgeting and cost control
- Strong knowledge of H&S and quality assurance procedures
