Teamforce Labour are currently seeking an experienced Civils Foreman for a long-term position in Derby.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervising and coordinating civils and groundworks activities on site
  • Managing operatives and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
  • Overseeing drainage, ducting, concrete works, excavations and general groundworks
  • Planning and allocating daily workloads
  • Monitoring progress against the programme and reporting to Site Management
  • Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings and specifications
  • Conducting daily briefings and toolbox talks where required
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and site housekeeping
  • Coordinating plant, labour and materials to maintain productivity
  • Identifying and resolving site issues to prevent delays
  • Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the works

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Civils Foreman
  • Strong background in civil engineering and groundworks
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • CSCS/CPCS qualification appropriate to the role
  • Good understanding of site health & safety requirements
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to organise and manage site teams effectively
