Role Description
The Civils General Foreman role is a full-time, on-site position based near Perth. The General Foreman will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinating labour, plant, and materials to ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Supervising site teams
- Implementing method statements and risk assessments
- Monitoring progress against plans
- Reporting issues or delays to site management
- Liaising with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Maintaining accurate site records
- Promoting a strong health, safety, and environmental culture
- Assisting in resolving technical and practical issues on site
- Ensuring compliance with project specifications and company procedures
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a General Foreman or Supervisor on civils or heavy infrastructure projects, ideally including highways, structures and ground engineering
- Strong understanding of civil engineering construction methods, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead site teams, manage labour and resources, and maintain productive working relationships.
- Solid knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, with a track record of promoting safe working practices.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CSCS/CPCS, SSSTS or SMSTS (or equivalent), and any applicable plant or safety qualifications.
- Good communication and organisational skills, with the ability to plan work, solve problems on site, and keep accurate records.
- Strong grasp of IT skills for reporting, documentation, and use of project management tools.
- Flexibility to work in varying site conditions and adapt to changing project requirements; prior experience working in the UK construction sector is an advantage.
