Department
Sapphire Utility Solutions, a Lanes Group Company, specializes in multiple divisions. United Utilities operates across a number of contracts across our business, predominantly wastewater network services as part of the AMP 7 period plan. The Team supports reactive and planned maintenance across the CCTV & Jetting and Civils teams, further supported by our in-house Traffic Management Division and Capital Projects covering the entire UU network.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain great customer service and communication
- Adhere to company absence reporting procedure
- Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work.
- Carry out site-specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team member and site supervisor
- Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
- Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements.
- Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Ensuring on and off sites are live to avoid any penalties with highways permits
- Wearing and maintaining in good condition any Personal Protective Equipment provided for your protection and bringing to your supervisor’s attention any defects or shortcomings with the equipment.
- Carry out groundwork tasks such as digging trenches, laying pipes, spot repairs, and preparing surfaces for construction.
- Install and maintain over-pumping systems
- Maintain safe excavations with installation of ground support
- Be able to read and understand Drainage plans
- Recording photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed
- Troubleshoot issues related to drainage systems and provide effective solutions
