Role: Civils Planner

Location: Cardiff, South Wales

Sector: Civil Engineering & Infrastructure

Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Working Arrangement: Hybrid Available

A specialist project controls and programme management consultancy is looking to recruit an experienced Civils Planner to join their Cardiff team. The business works across major civil engineering and infrastructure projects, providing specialist planning and project controls expertise to support successful project delivery.

The successful candidate will have strong civils/infrastructure planning experience, be confident using P6, and have the ability to develop robust programmes from first principles.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and managing detailed construction programmes from first principles using Primavera P6
  • Working closely with project teams to understand construction methodologies, sequencing and key project requirements
  • Monitoring progress against programme and identifying potential delays, risks and areas for improvement
  • Producing regular programme updates, progress reports and analysis for project stakeholders
  • Supporting project teams with programme strategy, planning and effective project controls
  • Challenging assumptions and providing practical planning solutions to support project delivery
  • Working collaboratively with clients, contractors and wider project teams
  • Contributing to a strong planning culture and sharing knowledge across the wider team

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Planner within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector
  • Strong experience planning major civils and infrastructure projects
  • Proven Primavera P6 experience
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and programme development
  • Experience developing programmes from first principles and managing project updates
