Civils Project Manager
Location: North West / Cheshire / North Wales
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Civils Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of civil engineering projects across Cheshire, North Wales and the North West.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering reinforced concrete structures, retaining walls, earthworks, drainage, highways, and general civil engineering projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects from pre-start through to completion, ensuring programme, quality, commercial performance, and health & safety objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage civil engineering projects from inception to handover.
  • Lead and support Site Managers, Site Agents, and engineering teams.
  • Plan and monitor project programmes, budgets, and resources.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to specification.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Manage project risks, variations, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and health & safety legislation.
  • Attend client and progress meetings and provide regular project updates.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the civil engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, retaining walls, drainage, highways, and general civils.
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS (Manager Card)
  • First Aid at Work
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Commercial awareness and programme management experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Temporary Works Coordinator.
  • Experience working under NEC contracts.
  • Chartered or working towards professional accreditation (ICE/CIOB).
