A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to support the delivery of a major £20m+ infrastructure project in the North West. The scheme involves extensive earthworks, highways, drainage, reinforced concrete structures and utility works, providing a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile project from the outset.
Your new role
As Senior Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of the project, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements. Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting delivery of a major infrastructure scheme
- Managing engineering activities across earthworks, structures, RC works and drainage packages
- Coordinating S278, S38 and utility-related works
- Managing temporary works processes
- Design coordination and technical support
- Producing and managing short-term programmes and look-ahead plans
- Assisting with project planning and sequencing
- Monitoring progress against programme
- Supporting compensation event and variation submissions
- Coordinating utility installations and diversions
- Ensuring quality, compliance and site safety standards are maintained
- Supervising site engineers and subcontractors where required

What you'll need to succeed
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
- Strong background in infrastructure or heavy civils projects
- Experience with earthworks, highways, drainage and reinforced concrete structures
- Knowledge of NEC contracts
- Experience using Microsoft Project advantageous
- Temporary Works Coordinator knowledge desirable
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work closely with project and commercial teams
