  • Prepare and review highway, access, drainage, SuDS, flood risk, levels, external works and infrastructure designs.
  • Identify project constraints, risks and opportunities, including flood risk, utilities, access, ground conditions, buildability and statutory authority requirements.
  • Manage project scope, programmes, fees, resources, quality, risk and change control across multiple commissions.
  • Review calculations, drawings, specifications, reports and technical outputs produced by engineers and technicians.
  • Champion the effective use of drainage, highway, CAD and BIM software, maintaining high technical standards and consistent workflows.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Liaise with planning authorities, highway authorities, Lead Local Flood Authorities, water companies and the Environment Agency.
  • Represent the business at client meetings, site visits, design reviews and project workshops.
  • Support Directors with fee proposals, tenders, business development opportunities and client relationship management.
  • Mentor and develop engineers and technicians, encouraging technical excellence and career progression.
  • Maintain accurate project records, technical documentation, correspondence and quality management processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
