Job Title: Civil/Structural Engineer
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £35,000 - £48,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
We are looking for a motivated Civil / Structural Engineer to join a growing engineering consultancy. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to develop their career within a supportive and technically focused environment, working across a varied portfolio of projects.
About The Role
You will be involved in a diverse range of civil and structural engineering projects across residential, commercial and industrial sectors. The role will provide opportunities to take increasing responsibility for projects, work closely with clients and develop your technical expertise.
Following successful completion of the probationary period, there will be the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities as a Civil/Structural Engineer
- Carry out structural analysis, design and engineering calculations across a range of materials, including steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
- Produce structural calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
- Support site inspections, surveys, investigations and structural assessments.
- Work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to deliver projects to a high standard.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and other external stakeholders where required.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of projects from initial design through to completion.
- Contribute to the development of efficient design solutions and technical approaches.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality across all project work.

Essential Requirements
- At least 2 years relevant industry experience within civil or structural engineering.
- BSc in Civil Engineering or a relevant MSc in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- A sound understanding of structural engineering principles and UK design standards.
- Good knowledge of relevant UK design codes and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a professional approach to project delivery.
