Overview

Our client, an international insurance business, is looking for a Credit Hire Claims Adjuster to manage disputed liability claims involving credit hire.

You will investigate coverage and liability, negotiate and settle claims on an economic basis, manage recoveries and reserves, and maintain an efficient caseload. The role requires strong knowledge of credit hire claims, including ABI GTA and non-GTA matters.

Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve disputed liability claims involving credit hire, providing effective claims handling while minimizing leakage.
• Identify and investigate policy coverage issues to ensure liability is consistent with contractual commitments.
• Identify and pursue subrogation, contribution, and other recovery opportunities where appropriate.
• Manage claims through to resolution and settlement on an economic basis.
• Maintain accurate reserves and manage your own caseload efficiently to support prompt and effective claims handling.
• Respond to claims fees, advice requests, and internal and external stakeholders within agreed service standards.
• Identify and escalate complaints appropriately, ensuring customers are treated fairly.
• Maintain knowledge of the claims portfolio and provide information to support underwriting and claims decisions.
• Handle ABI GTA claims within contracted timescales and manage non-GTA credit hire claims using appropriate arguments and supporting documentation.
