International Casualty Claims Adjuster
Location: London
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Overview
Our client, an international insurance business, is looking for an International Casualty Claims Adjuster to manage a complex and diverse global portfolio. The role covers specialist casualty claims, including construction recall, environment-related, and general liability matters.
You will investigate coverage, evaluate and negotiate complex claims, manage disputed matters and recoveries, and work closely with underwriters and other stakeholders. This is an opportunity for an experienced international casualty claims professional to develop their career within a specialist team.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve complex specialist claims, delivering effective claims handling while minimizing leakage.
- Assess policy coverage and ensure liability reflects contractual commitments.
- Identify and pursue subrogation, contribution, and other recovery opportunities where appropriate.
- Manage disputed and material claims through to economic resolution and settlement.
- Support the delivery of the wider claims strategy and business targets.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external customers.
- Work closely with underwriters to ensure the claims function supports wider business needs.

Requirements
- Experience handling international casualty claims.
- Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Strong influencing skills.
Desirable
- Experience handling US casualty claims.
