Personal Injury Claims Adjuster
Location: Leeds
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Hours: Full-time
Overview
Our client, an international insurer, is seeking a Personal Injury Claims Adjuster to manage a varied caseload of Motor Personal Injury claims.
You will investigate policy coverage and liability, negotiate and settle claims, pursue appropriate recoveries and maintain accurate reserves. The role offers regular contact with internal and external stakeholders alongside responsibility for managing your own caseload efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve Motor Personal Injury claims, providing effective claims handling while minimising leakage.
- Identify and investigate policy coverage and liability issues.
- Identify and pursue subrogation, contribution and other recovery opportunities where appropriate.
- Negotiate and settle claims on an economical basis.
- Respond to claims fees, advice and stakeholder requests within agreed service standards.
- Identify and escalate complaints and ensure customers are treated fairly.
- Maintain accurate reserves and provide portfolio information to support underwriting and claims decisions.
- Manage your own caseload to ensure claims are handled promptly and effectively.

Requirements
- Excellent investigative skills.
- Proven experience dealing with policy coverage.
- Experience of liability negotiations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Relationship management skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint effectively.
