Claims Adjuster - Professional Indemnity Claims

Leeds | Hybrid Working (4 days office / 1 day home) Salary + 15% Bonus + Excellent Benefits

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing specialist claims team supporting a leading commercial insurer's London Market operation. You'll gain exposure to Professional Indemnity and Financial Risks claims, work alongside experienced market professionals, and receive structured training to develop your technical expertise.

Whether you come from claims handling, insurance operations, broking, personal lines, commercial insurance, or claims administration, this role offers a genuine pathway into the London Market and a chance to build a long-term career within a highly respected insurer.

The Opportunity

As a Claims Adjuster, you'll become part of an expanding Leeds-based team focused on handling Professional Indemnity claims and notifications. You'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service to brokers and insured clients while supporting London-based adjusters on a varied portfolio of claims.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where attention to detail, strong organisation, and excellent relationship management skills are highly valued.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing a portfolio of lower complexity Professional Indemnity claims from notification through to resolution
  • Reviewing and processing claim notifications, excess layer submissions, and bordereaux claims
  • Handling delegated authority and cover holder claims activity
  • Managing workflows through London Market systems and internal claim platforms
  • Liaising with brokers to obtain information, provide updates, and resolve queries
  • Building strong relationships with key broker partners and stakeholders
  • Identifying trends, maintaining accurate claims records, and supporting reporting activities
  • Escalating more complex claims to specialist London Market adjusters where appropriate
  • Working closely with underwriting, actuarial, and claims colleagues across the business

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Previous experience within insurance, claims, broking, or insurance operations
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Confidence managing changing priorities and workloads
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively within a process-driven environment
  • Comfortable engaging with brokers and stakeholders by phone and email

  • Claims handling experience
  • Commercial insurance experience
  • London Market exposure
  • Professional Indemnity claims knowledge
  • Broker background
  • Guidewire ClaimCenter and/or ECF experience
