Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Claims Administration role based in Chorley. The role involves processing and managing insurance claims from initial notification through to resolution, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Daily tasks include:

The role also requires communicating with policyholders, contractors, and colleagues to obtain information, clarify queries, and provide timely updates on claim progress. The Claims Administrator will support senior claims staff, contribute to continuous improvement of claims processes, and help maintain high standards of customer service.

Qualifications

  • Strong claims management and claims handling skills, with experience in structured claims processes.
  • Solid analytical skills to review documentation, assess claim validity, and identify inconsistencies.
  • Knowledge of insurance principles and products, ideally including deposit protection and insurance backed guarantees.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with customers and internal teams.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and confident use of claims and office software.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines, and work effectively in an office-based team environment.
  • Previous experience in insurance, financial services, or customer-focused administrative roles is beneficial.
  • Relevant education or training in business, finance, insurance, or a related field is an advantage.
