A Brief Overview

To ensure UK and Continental Europe (CE) Treaty and Facultative claims notifications and settlements are administered appropriately and accurately in line with treaty specifications.

Your responsibilities will cover the UK and CE markets. Additionally, your expertise may be leveraged in other RGA entities or affiliates outside UK and CE as resources permit.

What you will do

  • Ensure that claims administration of all business adheres to RGA treaties.
  • For your specific client responsibility, provide claims administration data for input to accounting records, valuation systems and regulatory returns.
  • Ensure claims administration data is provided to retrocession clients, including International Retro Pool, in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure claims administration processes and procedures are fully documented.
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly and annual claims reporting is carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure data is provided for claims audits and any ad hoc claims data requests as and when required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim records, ensuring RGA accounts and datasets are complete, accurate and reliable.
  • Support process improvement and automation initiatives by working collaboratively with colleagues across Admin Operations and stakeholder functions to enhance claims administration processes.

Required skills and experience

  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • Strong IT skills with a good understanding of MS Excel
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels and across different departments
  • Ability to focus on priorities, targets and deadlines
  • Ability to plan and manage own time, working on several tasks at once and delivering them to agreed schedules
  • Proactive team player who can also work on own initiative
  • Understanding the concept of Reinsurance and the risk factors affecting RGA.
