About the Role

To provide support to Claims Handlers for the Eastern Team in London office in the handling and management of claims and meeting the Claims Department’s service objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage allocated claims within designated authority levels, assessing risk and liability, setting estimates, processing payments, and tracking key deadlines.
  • Advise Members on effective claims resolution strategies and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, correspondents, and service providers.
  • Arrange and monitor precautionary surveys, evaluate technical reports, and collaborate with the Loss Prevention department.
  • Assist with file opening and closing, third-party invoice reviews, and monitoring monthly bordereaux to ensure accurate financial estimates.
  • Maintain orderly digital and paper records to support business continuity, health and safety practices, and internal knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with Team Leaders, Claims Handlers, and other internal departments while attending relevant training and external meetings.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong GCSE or A-level grades, including English and Maths
  • Exceptional organisational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to new software systems and digital tools
