Claims Handler - Insurance
Central Bristol | Hybrid (3 office / 2 home)
£26,000 + up to 20% bonus + benefits
Full-time | Mon–Fri (35 hours, flexibility between 8am–6pm)
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join a well-established insurance team in Bristol.
You’ll manage insurance claims end-to-end, ensuring fair, accurate and compliant outcomes in line with FCA regulations and internal policies.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong claims experience and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

- Manage insurance claims from initial notification through to settlement
- Assess claims and make decisions in line with policy terms and FCA guidelines
- Communicate with customers throughout the claims process, providing clear updates
- Handle queries and complaints through to resolution
- Maintain accurate and detailed case records
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and data protection requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a claims handling or claims assessor role (essential)
- Strong understanding of insurance claims processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively
- Strong decision-making skills and a customer-focused approach
