Overview
We are recruiting for a Property Claims Handler to join our expanding team in Tamworth.
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of property claims, ensuring they are handled efficiently and in accordance with our clients' and the general insurance industry's standards to achieve the best possible outcomes for our customers.
You will be supported by an experienced and knowledgeable team that is committed to your career growth and aspirations.
How You'll Make An Impact
- Manage the end-to-end claims process
- Accurately log comprehensive details of each claim
- Answer incoming calls from customers and clients
- Review cases and workflow proactively, taking action to move claims forward
- Prioritise work effectively to meet personal targets
- Schedule appointments with residents/clients and plan routes nationwide
- Ensure clients' portals are kept up to date
- Follow up with contractors to ensure claims are completed
- Chase contractors for PC Sum evidence and supporting information, including any additional works not already captured on a variation order
- Amend schedules on the client’s portal for the actual PC Sum amount and add or remove line items for any additional works as needed
- Raise interim payment requests with clients for any large loss claims
- Follow up with clients for approval to raise invoices

About You
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with customers, clients, and colleagues
- Ability to work on your own initiative and take ownership of your caseload of claims while working collaboratively as part of a team
- Demonstrate understanding and empathy throughout the claims process
- Ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with customers to promote satisfaction during all stages of the claim
- A “can do” attitude and a want to progress your career within the insurance industry
