HarKaye Core Talent is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing claimant law firm to recruit a Claims Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity for a law graduate who is passionate about building a long-term career in personal injury law. If you have a Law degree and enjoy working with people, this role offers structured training, ongoing support and genuine career progression within a highly respected legal team.

As the first point of contact for new clients, you'll play a vital role in supporting individuals at the start of their legal journey, delivering an empathetic, professional and efficient service from the very first conversation.

The Role

As a Claims Assistant, you will:

  • Act as the first point of contact for prospective clients making personal injury enquiries.
  • Handle inbound and outbound telephone calls.
  • Gather key information and accurately record details on the case management system.
  • Assess the initial viability of new claims.
  • Progress claims through the appropriate legal process.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with empathy and professionalism.
  • Support the wider legal team with administrative and case-related tasks.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

  • A Law degree (LLB or equivalent).
  • Previous customer service or telephone-based experience, with the ability to build rapport and communicate confidently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Be able to commute to Huddersfield on a daily basis. Applications are only being considered from candidates who live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office.

Experience within personal injury or legal services would be advantageous but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
