Job Title: Claims Handler

Location: Milton Keynes – Hybrid 2 days a week.

Salary: £27,600 – £29,000 DOE

Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

About The Role

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience.

As a Claims Handler, you’ll manage claims with accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism. You’ll play a key role in supporting our customers, building meaningful relationships, and ensuring every interaction reflects the high standards our clients expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual who can bring the following experience and capabilities to our team:

  • Skilled in resolving customer enquiries and complaints effectively, often at the first point of contact.
  • Experience communicating effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, handling enquiries, and delivering clear, accurate information.
  • Ideally previous experience working in a claims handling environment, with a strong understanding of claims processes and customer needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks requiring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in requesting, collating, analysing, and interpreting medical and other technical documentation.
  • Confident working with numbers, with an intermediate level of numeracy to accurately calculate premiums, claim payments, and compile statistical or management data.
  • Comfortable handling both inbound and outbound customer service calls in a fast-paced environment.

About You

  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships built on trust and the ability to challenge.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Strong Stakeholder Management skills with excellent written English and strong verbal communication skills, delivering to a varied audience and in different mediums.
  • Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word.
  • Customer focus – the genuine desire to understand customer needs and respond in a customer focused manner, exceeding expectations where possible.
