£30,000 – £35,000 + Excellent Benefits | Fully Remote | 6–12 Month FTC | Immediate Start
We’re working with an established and growing General Insurance business that is looking to appoint an experienced Claims Handler on a 6–12 month fixed-term contract, with an immediate start available.
This is a great opportunity for someone with around 2–5 years’ General Insurance claims experience, ideally across Motor and/or Home Insurance, who is looking to build on their technical knowledge and gain further experience within a supportive and professional claims environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of claims from notification through to resolution, ensuring customers receive a high-quality service while claims are handled accurately, efficiently and in line with policy terms and regulatory requirements. You’ll have the opportunity to deal with a broad range of claims, developing your technical understanding and working closely with customers, insurers, brokers, loss adjusters and other third parties.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
