Claims Handler

Salary: £26,700 and £29,650

This is a great job for someone who enjoys helping customers through challenging situations and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Whether you have previous claims handling experience or come from a strong customer service background, this role is ideal for someone who can manage multiple priorities, build positive relationships, and deliver great outcomes for customers.

A bit about the job:

  • Supporting Landlord, Tradespeople and SME customers throughout the commercial property claims journey, from first notification through to settlement.
  • Managing end-to-end claims, coordinating repairs, replacements and claim payments to deliver positive customer outcomes.
  • Keeping customers, suppliers and stakeholders informed through proactive and regular communication.
  • Helping minimise disruption to customers' businesses by progressing claims efficiently and effectively.
  • Working across multiple systems and processes to ensure claims are handled accurately, fairly and in line with regulatory requirements.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • Previous customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence building relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Good digital capability, including experience using Microsoft Office and multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Claims handling or commercial property experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

What you'll get for this role:

  • Starting salary between £26,700 and £29,650 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
  • Bonus opportunity - 6% (A & B grade) 8% (C grade) 10% (D grade) 12% (E grade) of annual salary (actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's)
