Claims Handler (property)
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 DOE
Location: Leeds area - Remote working
Due to our continued success in the UK market we are expanding our team. As one of the leading businesses in our field we always strive to exceed customers expectations, so if you are detail orientated, driven and eager to be part of a global firm then read below.
We are seeking a self-driven and confident claims technician, who has the drive to grow within the business and excel their career. The role is home based with occasional office visits (1 a quarter), so the ability to be self-motivated is an absolute must. The main duties and responsibilities will be to work as part of our desk-based team to drive claims towards settlement. Further to the above you will:

- Liaise with all parties involved, (claimants, insurers and internal departments)
- Work with third party companies to achieve the desired outcomes, mitigating future problems
- Update and create building repair scopes using an in-house schedule of rates
- Assessing contractor estimates – to ensure they are inline with expectations
- Negotiating settlements for repairs with policyholders
- Settling claims under delegated authority
What we are looking for:
- Previous buildings/property claims experience
- Great communication and organisation skills
- Ability to demonstrate a high standard of customer service
- Computer literate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced target driven environment
- Positive attitude and be a flexible, self-motivated team player
- Attention to detail and ability to assess and resolve problems and find solutions
