The Role

As a claims handler, you will need to work closely with colleagues, brokers, policyholders, insurers, and service suppliers to provide a full claims service including accident management. The roles represent an opportunity to be part of a successful and dynamic department.

Essential

  • Must have GCSE passes in Maths & English. Or equivalent qualification.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a point of contact for any incoming broker query or complaint and action as appropriate.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Provide a courteous approach to all customers.
  • Ensure the timely allocation of tasks within the department, company, and FCA guidelines.
  • Manage the policyholder’s full expectations.
  • Keep Brokers and Policyholders fully updated throughout the claim.
  • Manage the claim from First Notification of Loss (FNOL) to completion of claim, ensuring the client and broker are updated fully throughout the customer journey.
  • Liaise with the client’s insurers throughout the claim from FNOL to completion ensuring the policyholder’s claim is dealt with correctly and efficiently.
  • Manage the policyholder’s full expectations.
  • Manage low-level complaints with assistance from team leaders and managers.
