Claims Handler - Specialty Lines - London
Angove Partners is partnering with a global insurance company, seeking Claims Handlers in London. It’s an exciting time for the business, which is expanding into new jurisdictions and solidifying its position as a market leader.
What is the role?
Join a collaborative team specialising in a diverse range of specialty insurance lines, including Property, Liability, Financial Lines, Marine, Aviation, Energy, Casualty and Cyber. Working alongside experienced professionals across legal, accounting and insurance, you’ll benefit from a strong knowledge-sharing environment while helping deliver tailored solutions, expert advice and an efficient service to clients.

What will you be doing?
- Autonomously administer and negotiate claims
- Review and respond to incoming enquiries from clients and brokers
- Review and prepare notifications, manage the claims process, consider coverage and deal with settlements
- Negotiate with markets to achieve the best outcome
- Create comprehensive and accurate documents detailing claim facts and coverage issues
- Develop strong relationships with markets
- Advise on policy wording improvements based on insurance law and claims experience

What do you need to apply to this role?
- 2+ years’ experience in Claims Handling
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Good understanding of the full claims lifecycle
- Confident assessing claims, coverage and settlements
- Entrepreneurial, proactive and commercially minded
