This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Claims Investigators specialising in Motor, Employers’ Liability, and Public Liability claims to work across the UK in a flexible, self-employed, PAYE, or PSC capacity.

Working on a flexible, case-by-case basis, you will conduct investigations to deliver high-quality claims decisions while contributing to a culture of exceptional service.


Responsibilities

As a Claims Investigator, you will:

  • Conduct thorough investigations into motor and liability claims, gathering and evaluating evidence
  • Obtain witness statements and other relevant information
  • Produce detailed reports supporting informed claims decisions
  • Manage investigations from instruction through to conclusion, handling both straightforward and complex cases
  • Identify inconsistencies and potential fraud indicators
  • Follow investigation procedures to ensure evidence is gathered, preserved, and recorded accurately
  • Conduct interviews with policyholders, witnesses, and other relevant parties
  • Prepare CPR-compliant statements and operate within agreed service levels

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in motor claims investigations
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Current case law, statutes, and legal liability
    • The principle of indemnity and its application
  • Excellent investigation skills, including evidence-gathering, preservation, and evaluation
  • Experience producing CPR-compliant witness statements and detailed investigation reports
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage workload effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in email and Microsoft Word
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Access to or ability toASSIGN a personal vehicle

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in Employers’ Liability or Public Liability investigations
  • Ability to identify sensational malpractice and follow appropriate investigation procedures
