Role Description
The Claims Manager is a full-time role based in Atherton with a hybrid working arrangement, combining office-based work with some flexibility to work from home. The role involves overseeing and managing the end-to-end claims process, including receiving notifications, assessing claim validity, and coordinating with insurers, loss adjusters, and clients to secure timely and fair settlements. The Claims Manager will review policy coverage, identify gaps or issues, and provide clear guidance to clients on their claims and any required documentation.
Daily responsibilities include:
- Monitoring claims progress
- Maintaining accurate records
- Analyzing claim trends
- Preparing reports to support continuous improvement in claims handling and client service

The role also involves collaborating closely with other team members to ensure clients receive proactive support, especially during complex or high-value claims, while upholding the company’s standards of professionalism and client care.

Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years experience in handling cross-class Commercial Claims
- Excellent customer service and time management skills
- A positive, can-do attitude to work and a team player
- Experience using Acturis is desirable
Candidates should possess:
- Strong Claims Handling and Claims Management skills, with experience overseeing end-to-end insurance claim processes.
- Solid Insurance and Insurance Claims knowledge, including understanding of policy wordings, coverage types, and regulatory requirements.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills to review claim data, identify trends, and support decision-making on claim outcomes.
- Relevant professional qualifications in insurance (e.g., industry certifications or diplomas) are beneficial.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using claims management systems and standard office software, with attention to accuracy and confidentiality.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritize workload, and meet service timelines.
- Previous experience in a brokerage or commercial insurance environment is an advantage.
