Claims Manager

Location: Bristol - Office Based

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Claims Manager to join a growing property restoration business specialising in fire, flood and escape-of-water damage.

This is a broad role combining end-to-end property claims management with day-to-day office operations. You’ll take ownership of claims from first notification through to closure, working closely with insurers, loss adjusters, policyholders, technicians, subcontractors and internal teams to keep claims progressing smoothly.

The role would suit someone who has strong property claims experience and enjoys being hands-on, improving processes and helping shape how a claims function operates as the business continues to grow.

There is also genuine scope for future leadership progression, with plans to introduce junior claims support beneath this position as claim volumes increase.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of property claims from first notification through to closure.
  • Receive new instructions from insurers, loss adjusters, claims management companies and property owners.
  • Coordinate emergency call-outs, technicians and subcontractors in line with agreed SLAs.
  • Prepare and submit scopes, reports, drying records and photographic evidence.
  • Chase authorisations, variations and additional works approvals to keep claims moving.
  • Monitor claims against SLAs and escalate potential issues before service levels are affected.
  • Act as the main point of contact for policyholders throughout the claim.
  • Manage customer expectations and identify potential dissatisfaction before it develops into a complaint.
  • Maintain accurate, complete and audit-ready claim files.
  • Work confidently across insurer systems and claims portals.
  • Produce reporting around job status, work in progress and SLA performance.
  • Support invoicing, authorised spend and wider claims administration.
  • Help manage day-to-day office operations and internal administration.
  • Support subcontractor onboarding and ongoing compliance requirements.
  • Help introduce and improve systems and processes as the claims function continues to develop.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
