You will act as RiverStone's primary relationship manager for French claims portfolios, working closely with third party administrators, cedants, legal partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure claims are managed effectively, fairly, and in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements. The role combines claims expertise, portfolio oversight, audit activity, stakeholder management, and strategic support across acquisitions and portfolio transitions.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary relationship contact for claims business originating from France, with a particular focus on French decennial liability, construction, property and liability claims.

- Work closely with Group Claims and Delegated Authority teams to deliver a robust programme of audits in line with regulatory, contractual and Lloyd's requirements.
- Facilitate and participate in onsite and remote audits, ensuring clear outcomes, effective action plans and the promotion of best practice across delegated and outsourced arrangements.
- Monitor and track audit findings, ensuring actions are completed and emerging issues or trends are escalated appropriately.
- Partner with Compliance teams to ensure outsourcing governance requirements are appropriately documented, monitored and maintained.
- Produce high quality oversight reports and communicate findings to management and key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Operations, Claims, Actuarial and Reinsurance teams to support portfolio performance, operational efficiency and actuarial review activities.
- Support the identification and recovery of reinsurance where applicable.
- Provide technical claims expertise and support in relation to acquisitions, due diligence exercises and portfolio transition activities.
- Attend meetings relating to new business opportunities and contribute specialist claims input where required.
- Promote a culture of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF), effective conduct risk management and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain awareness of Data Protection legislation, including UK GDPR and relevant data protection requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
