Location: Leeds, Norwich, Glasgow, Perth, York or Manchester based (50% hybrid working)

Salary: circa £55,000

About the Role

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a strategic and commercially focused claims procurement specialist to join the UK General Insurance Claims Supply Chain team.

A bit about the job:

The primary objective of this position is to optimise value across Aviva’s motor / property claims supply chain through comprehensive end-to-end commercial management. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and operational teams to design forward-thinking service solutions, thereby delivering enhanced value for Aviva and its customers.

Specialising in the motor or property insurance claims category, you will draw upon advanced commercial, contractual, regulatory, risk management, and category management skills, tools, and methodologies to drive value for money by identifying and executing new initiatives, demonstrating subject matter expertise, and staying ahead of emerging technologies and market trends. Furthermore, you will actively mitigate and manage risk, while supporting the achievement of our Net Zero objectives.

The position requires a thorough understanding of market dynamics coupled with deep business insight, enabling the development and execution of sourcing and supply chain strategies in close partnership with colleagues to deliver robust contractual frameworks. Appropriate utilisation of internal processes, systems, controls, and governance structures will be essential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
